Children’s Perception of Psycho-Educational Assessments

What experiences do children and young people have of psycho-educational assessment and reports?

We are seeking to recruit children and young people, aged between 10 and 18 years, to take part in a study to understand their experiences of psycho-educational assessment and the associated report.

Few studies have investigated report writing from the perspective of children. It is anticipated that the results of this research will provide additional insight into how psychologists can structure their report writing practice to benefit children and their education.

Participation is confidential and will involve a 30 to 45 minutes interview. Each child will receive a $10 Coles Voucher in appreciation of their time.

This project is being conducted by Joanne Lindelauf, under the supervision of Dr Andrea Reupert and Dr Kate Jacobs, as part of her PhD project in the Faculty of Education at Monash University.

The study has ethics approval from Monash University Human Research Ethics Committee.

For more information, please contact Joanne at joanne.lindelauf@monash.edu
